Social Media and Content Coordinator
You will be responsible for creating compelling written content for social media platforms, email newsletters, and other marketing communications. The ideal candidate understands how to write content that educates, entertains, and converts while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
This role is short-term with recurring weekly deliverables and offers flexible scheduling while meeting established deadlines. This position is fully remote and you can reside in any geographic location outside of the United States, but you must be able to work Monday-Friday, option of 8:30-11:30am PST or 2pm-5pm PST.
Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Write engaging copy for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other business needs.
- Create captions and calls-to-action aligned with current campaigns and company goals.
- Write strategic YouTube titles, descriptions, tags, and chapter markers optimized for search and click-through.
- Develop educational homeowner, resident, and investor content
- Rewrite technical information into reader-friendly language
- Copywrite for other initiatives as needed (social, website, blog, etc.).
- Maintain consistency across all marketing channels
Graphic Design & Visual Content
- Design social graphics in Canva, including Google Business Profile graphics and Instagram carousels, Instagram reel covers using the established brand kit and templates.
- Design custom YouTube thumbnails that are on-brand and optimized for click-through.
- Create in-video graphics and visual elements (titles, lower-thirds, callouts, end screens).
- Produce a set of market-specific graphics each cycle (one per market).
- Maintain visual consistency with brand colors, fonts, and layout standards.
- Edit long-form YouTube videos end to end, assembling footage from filming days, cutting for pacing, and adding graphics, overlays, transitions, and captions.
- Edit short-form video clips (Reels, Shorts, etc.) for social platforms.
- Produce complete YouTube uploads: video, custom thumbnail, and strategic title/description/tags (see Writing & Copy).
- Add and edit captions.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Manager on production-day recording.
- Help develop and maintain the weekly social media content calendar.
- Build Instagram carousels and posts.
- Create captions that align with current campaigns and company goals.
- Research trending topics relevant to property management, real estate investing, and homeownership.
- Repurpose content into multiple social media formats.
- Coordinate with Marketing Manager on topics, approvals, and scheduling.
- Schedule posts using company-approved software (if assigned).
- Respond to and engage with comments, questions, and community activity on company profiles.
- Proactively engage with other relevant social media profiles — local businesses, real estate and property management accounts, community pages, and partners – by commenting, liking, and interacting to build reach, relationships, and brand visibility.
Local SEO and Google Business Profile
- Write SEO-optimized Google Business Profile posts for each market, on a weekly basis.
- Design the accompanying Google Business Profile graphics for each market.
- Use the local keyword pattern "[City/Area We Serve] property management" in Google Business Profile copy.
- Conduct market research for each of the four markets to inform GBP content, keywords, and local relevance.
- Add fresh photos to Google Business Profiles on a weekly basis.
- Maintain and update GBP listings as needed — business info, hours, categories, and profile details across all four markets.
- Support the company's local search visibility across all four markets.
- Write monthly and special edition newsletters
- Create email subject lines that improve open rates
- Assist with drip campaign content
- Ensure newsletters remain informative, professional, and consistent with brand voice
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong understanding of social media marketing, YouTube and community engagement.
- Experience writing newsletters and email campaigns
- Familiarity with property management, real estate, or service industries preferred
- Graphic design skills, particularly in Canva, including thumbnail and in-video graphic design.
- Long-form and short-form video editing skills.
- Familiarity with local SEO
Experience with (preferred but not required):
- ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, or similar email platforms
- Metricool or Similar
- Canva

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Deliverables
Expected recurring deliverables may include:
- 15-20 social media posts per month
- Edited long-form YouTube videos with custom thumbnails, titles, and descriptions (per production cycle).
- Edited short-form video clips (Reels, Shorts, etc.).
- Instagram carousels + graphics.
- Social posts across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- 2 client newsletters
- Blog articles (as assigned)
- Holiday and event announcements
- Company updates
- Community engagement content
- Weekly GBP photo + updates across all four markets.
- Success in this role will be measured by:
- On-time delivery of assigned content
- Accuracy and quality of written materials
- Consistency with company branding
- Engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, click-through rates, open rates)
- Responsiveness to requested revisions
- Professional communication and reliability
- Internet speed of 50 mbps and above
Contract Length: August 2026 - January 2027
Hours per week: 10-15
Hourly Rate or Weekly Salary: $8-$9/ hour
Operating Hours: Monday-Friday, option of 8:30-11:30am PST or 2pm-5pm PST
